In Chongqing's Three Gorges Museum, the creative products the museum unveiled have been a big hit. Besides eye shadow palettes, the figurines, magnets, jewelry replicas and various printed products are all popular with souvenir enthusiasts.
Cultural and creative products have been part of the Chongqing's Three Gorges Museum's operations since it was first founded. But it only became successful after the museum combined the products with thematic exhibitions.
The museum is currently staging an exhibition of Czech painter Alfons Maria Mucha's artwork. An acclaimed artist in his home country, Mucha also has a global fan base. Many visitors find the creative products based on his work more significant and amazing after viewing the exhibit.
Many visitors prefer small and inexpensive products, suitable for personal use or to send to friends as gifts.
Beijing's Palace Museum is also generating lots of excitement among fans of traditional culture by unveiling many popular creative products. Lipsticks are one example.

The lipstick set cases are printed using 3D technology and combine auspicious patterns from embroidery that were once owned by queens and are now part of the museum's collections.
Many visitors hope Chinese museums will create more products like these, bringing together the past and present.
