Chinese People's Liberation Army's (PLA) action to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity will never stop as long as the "Taiwan independence" separatists continue provocation, Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, told a press conference on Wednesday.
The remark came after a series of PLA exercises and training were held near the Taiwan Straits, which Zhu said aims to resolutely combat the "arrogance" of separatist forces and separatist actions.
"We hope Taiwan compatriots can distinguish right from wrong, distinguish cause and effect, firmly oppose 'Taiwan independence' and work with us to safeguard peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits," Zhu told reporters.
