The Taihu Midi Music Festival will be held from May 3 to 5 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, with the first group of 13 headliners including Chinese singer-songwriter Pu Shu, rock bands No Party For Cao Dong and Re-TROS, Japanese punk rock band The Star Club.
As this year is the 50th anniversary of the landmark 1969 Woodstock music festival, the Taihu event will also have programs paying tribute to Woodstock.
The event, organized by the Beijing Midi School of Music, one of the first contemporary music schools in China founded in 1993, is an extension of Beijing Midi Festival.

Besides Suzhou, the music festival is also held in Shanghai and Shenzhen.
