Chinese fishing vessels rescue 25 from flaming boat in Indian Ocean

Two fishing vessels from the Chinese mainland came to the aid of a Taiwanese fishing boat which caught fire in the Indian Ocean on Friday, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture said on its official website.

All 25 fishermen on board the Taiwanese vessel "Jin Zhan­xiang No.3" were rescued.

The two boats from a deep-ocean fishery company in Jiangsu Province conducted a one-hour rescue, during which all 25 fishermen were transferred to safety.

The Ministry of Agriculture paid close attention to this incident and asked China Overseas Fisheries Association (COFA) to verify the relevant information.
