We've come into the new year of 2017, so how did you spend the last day of 2016?

A pair of love birds were spotted snuggling up to each other during sunset by the sea, witnessing the sun sinking on the horizon on December 31 in southeastern China's coastal city of Xiamen in Fujian Province. 

Meanwhile, people who enjoy crowds shared site photos of firework shows from all corners around the world. The magnificent view of light's art on the night sky has brought color to people's day, as well as prayers of peace, joy, and well-being.

Though most of the people were able to enjoy a cheerful reunion with their family and loved ones, some of us, like migrant workers, police officers, and CGTN editors as well, simply continued serving at their posts. The workers high above a construction site in central China's Wuhan, Hubei Province, were captured conducting their routine work just like any other day they'd spent in 2016. Well, who says it is not a blessing to spend every day in your life safe and secure just like the day before?
