Summer arrives in a park in Harbin City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. The Eurasian hoopoe fledglings are chirping and waiting for their parents to bring back delicious insects.

Hoopoes are distinguishable because of their special "crowns."

They are monogamous. However, unlike the crested ibis, which is loyal to its mate for life, hoopoes only stay with their mate for a single breeding season.
