HK police condemn violent protesters outside Legislative Council
Hong Kong's police commissioner says innocent people, including his colleagues, have been injured, as protests turned violent outside the Legislative Council. He condemned the irresponsible behaviors, saying protesters should voice their views in a peaceful way. Discussions were to be held on Wednesday on the amendments to two crucial ordinances, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Fugitive Offenders Ordinance and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Ordinance. However, talks were suspended after protesters flooded the streets and blocked traffic.
