Kyrgyzstan is located in northeast Central Asia. It borders China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Kyrgyzstan has a land area of about 199,900 square kilometers, with over 80 ethnic groups and a population of 6.4 million. Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to the country from June 12 to 14, during which he'll attend the 19th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
