Increased sightings of snow leopards allude to improving environment

About 1,000 pieces of footage showing snow leopards and other wild animals have been recorded by infrared cameras installed by a forest management bureau in Shawan County of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The footage taken by 79 infrared cameras that were deployed in the forests at high altitudes show more snow leopards in the area than usual, indicating an improving ecological system in the region.
