Two oil tankers were apparently attacked, possibly by torpedoes or mines, in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday, which leads into the Strait of Hormuz. One of the tankers belongs to a Japanese shipping company. The attack came just as Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was in Tehran.
