Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's Chief Executive Carrie Lam said the SAR government will suspend the process of amendments to the HKSAR's Fugitive Offenders Ordinance and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Ordinance. She stressed that the Hong Kong government will listen to the public's opinions. Mr. Tian Feilong from Chinese Association of Hong Kong & Macao Studies said it is a hard decision for Carrie Lam.
