Moscow stands firmly against trade wars and "fighting without rules" in international commerce, Russian President Vladimir Putin was quoted as saying by RT on Saturday.
Putin's comments came while speaking at the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Tajikistan’s capital of Dushanbe.
Putin said the social and humanitarian sector should be protected from trade and economic sanctions in order to "restore trust and establish fair economic cooperation rules."
"Unfortunately, trade wars are raging across the world, in fact, ultimate fighting is ongoing, which involves bullying and attempts to eliminate competitors through non-market methods," Putin said, adding the importance of collective efforts to find a way out of the current situation.
