The China-Hungary cultural exchange event – Chinese Films Going into Hungary – concluded in Budapest on Monday.
During the three-day event, plenty of Chinese films, including "Wandering Earth," "Dragon Blade" and "Beijing Love Story" were shown to local audiences. Various exhibitions depicting the history and development of Chinese films were also held.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Hungary. Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Duan Jielong said he hopes that this international tour could further promote cultural exchanges and cooperation between the film circles of the two countries.
Olverdi Esther, secretary of the international tourism relations of the Hungarian National Tourist Office, said Hungarian films are also popular among Chinese people and that many come to visit the country after watching the movies. According to her, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Hungary exceeded 250,000 in 2018.
