Nearly 5,000 runners compete in half marathon in NW China city

Nearly 5,000 runners from across the country took part in a half marathon event in Baoji City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Sunday. Also held on the day were two other races -- a 5-km mini marathon and 2.5-km family run. Participants sang the national anthem to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, before the race started.
