"I don't think the world is managed by jungle rules," Huawei's founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei said on Monday in a discussion with CGTN'S Tian Wei and two American technology thinkers.
There are legal, religious and moral constraints in society, Ren explained.
"The 'lion' is strong, but will not get stronger since it is subject to the natural balance of forces."
Ren also believes that the market economy comprises a balance of different factors.
"The balance of factors is managing and maintaining the healthy robust nature of the market.”
Ren said that his company is open to sharing with society, adding that "while Huawei happens to be leading in 5G and will not be complacent, we will still collaborate with the world."
Speaking about potential economic decoupling between the U.S. and China, Ren said "both sides will suffer, no one will win."
