Former Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi collapsed in court during a trial and died on Monday. The 67-year-old was in a hearing on charges of espionage, and had addressed the court, warning that he had "many secrets" to reveal. A few minutes later, he collapsed in the cage. Local media said Morsi suffered a heart attack. He won the country's first free elections in 2012, succeeding longtime president Hosni Mubarak who stepped down following protests. Morsi was ousted a year later in response to mass protests against his rule.
