The launch of the London-Shanghai Stock Connect opens a "new chapter" in China-UK trade relations. It shows China’s efforts to further open its financial market as part of its national economic strategy. The two countries also signed four agreements regarding third-party market cooperation, beef up exports to China and clean financing.
