The night falls, a firefly glows and the danger comes. Fireflies' glowing beauty might lighten up the summer nights, but nothing can escape the law of the jungle, especially these lightning bugs that expose themselves in the dark.

The rainforest of Mengla County in south China's Yunnan Province is one of most biodiverse in the country. Fireflies are everywhere, and so are their predators. This summer, CGTN takes you on a journey to see the glowing life of the Lampyridae up close.
