China's fourth "forest oxygen bar" list, a reference to places with plenty of trees, was recently released. CGTN will be reviewing 10 of the 22 listed forest parks. Today, we take a look at Qiyun Mountain National Forest Park in central China's Hunan Province.

Meaning "as high as the clouds", Qiyun Mountain National Forest Park is located at the intersection of two large mountain ranges, Luoxiao Mountains and Nanling Mountains. It is also in the center of a tourism circle around Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces.

Qiyun Mountain National Forest Park has a total area of 120.78 square kilometers and an average elevation of 1,311 meters, with its highest peak standing at 2,061 meters.

The park is rich in natural resources and breathtaking landscapes with a forest coverage of 92.47 percent. The temperate climate here makes it an excellent place as a summer resort.

The park has preserved an intact natural ecosystem, which has nurtured a unique biological community and is well known as the home of many rare and treasured species.

In recent years, with the opening of the Tongping-Yanru Highway and Xiamen-Rongshan Highway, as well as the upgrading of No. 106 National Highway and Provincial Highway No. 322, access to the national park has largely improved, attracting more and more tourists to this big “oxygen bar.”
