Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Pyongyang on Thursday morning, starting a two-day state visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at the invitation of DPRK top leader Kim Jong Un. This is the first visit to the DPRK by the top leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China's head of state in 14 years, and also General Secretary Xi's first visit to the country since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012.
