A wild Amur leopard was caught on camera roaming in Muling forest area of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, said forest rangers on Tuesday.

The video footage shows a robust Amur leopard is "striding" by in front of the infrared camera at 13:11 on March 4, 2019. 

"This place is part of its activity territory. It passed here when roaming around hunting for food. Right on this road, the Amur leopard passed and was filmed by the camera," said Wang Daohui, ranger at Muling state-owned forestry management bureau of Heilongjiang Province. 

This is the second time Muling state-owned forestry management bureau filmed videos of Amur leopard. The first time of an Amur leopard being captured by camera was at a windy and snowy night in September 2018.

The distance between these two sites is roughly seven to eight kilometers. 

"According to our long-term observation, both Suiyang and Muling are inhabited by the Amur leopard," said by Zhou Shaochun, director of Heilongjiang Province wildlife research institute. 

Amur leopard is the second largest feline animal in northern frigid zone, only after Siberian tiger.
