A performance competition for electric cars took place by Qinghai Lake in Xining City, northwest China's Qinghai Province, on Wednesday. The event was held at the sixth China Electric Vehicle Rally (CEVR) scheduled for June 18-23. Great improvement was seen in the performance of the electric cars participating in this year's competition, supposedly an outcome of greater investment by auto makers in new energy vehicles.
