The life of giant panda depends on bamboo, which accounts for 99 percent of its diet. The creature particularly favors arrow bamboo, black bamboo and some other species. It eats bamboo's roots, shoots and leaves according to the season. 

Many varieties of bamboo grow in southeast China's Fujian Province, thanks to the abundant rainfall and hilly topography. Although giant pandas are not found there, the forests still merit a visit due to their splendid beauty.
