Over three billion artificially-bred juvenile aquatic organisms were recently released into the Bohai Sea in Dalian, northeast China's Liaoning Province, to increase the sea's marine stocks, said the Liaoning Province Ocean and Fisheries Department. Authorities are making use of a fishing ban period to increase aquatic stocks. It started from mid to late May and will last until July. The summer break in the Bohai Sea provides sufficient growth time for the released fish and increases their survival rate.
