Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday met with foreign ministers from Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Cote d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Uganda and Libya, and an official on economics from Eritrea on the sidelines of a Coordinators' Meeting for China-Africa cooperation.
During the meetings, Wang stressed that China treats every country equally in terms of international affairs.
"We support African countries' sovereignty and security, and support their efforts to find the ways of development most suited to themselves," he said. "China supports African countries to play a more important role in regional and international affairs."

Marcel Amon-Tanoh, foreign minister of Cote d'Ivoire, expressed his approval of China-Africa cooperation.
"China-Africa cooperation is based on friendship, sincerity, mutual respect, and not interfering with each other's internal affairs," he said.

The foreign minister of Equatorial Guinea, Simeón Oyono Esono Angue, meanwhile noted: "Equatorial Guinea is willing to deepen cooperation with China in all fields."
"We'd like to borrow China's experience in development, to help Equatorial Guinea to achieve economical transformation and diverse development," he added.

In one of the meetings, Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Taha Siala encouraged China to participate in the reconstruction of the North African country.
"Libya wishes to solve the Libyan problem through political ways, and build a non-military democratic country," he said. "Libya welcomes Chinese enterprises to actively participate in the reconstruction of Libya."

Zimbabwe's Foreign Minister Sibusiso Moyo said that his country was willing to strengthen its strategic cooperation with China.

Lesotho's Foreign Minister Lesego Makgothi noted that his country opposes any external forces interfering in China's internal affairs, firmly upholds the 1992 Consensus and the one-China principle, and supports China in realizing national reunification.

Ugandan Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa vowed to work with China to promote the Belt and Road Initiative, realize sustainable development, and uphold multilateralism and free trade.

Ghana's Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey said her country was ready to strengthen mutual support and deepen cooperation with China.

Hagos Gebrehiwet, head of economic affairs of the People's Front for Democracy and Justice of Eritrea, said the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping is the direction of efforts by all countries.
The Coordinators' Meeting aims to further ratify the result of last year's Beijing Summit of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. Fifty-three African countries have sent delegations to attend the meeting.
