Twelve members of the Wild Boars soccer team and their coach on Monday returned to northern Thailand's Tham Luang cave where they were trapped for more than two weeks to attend a religious ceremony in honor of a Navy Seal diver killed in the rescue effort. /VCG Photo

During the Buddhist ceremony, the boys and their coach placed flowers and prayed in front of a statue erected for the Navy Seal diver Saman Gunan. /VCG Photo

The boys also offered food to Buddhist monks and received blessings in Gunan's honor. A feast was prepared as a tribute to cave spirits, Channel News Asia reports. /VCG Photo

On June 23, 2018, 12 young soccer players aged 11-16 and their coach wandered into the Tham Luang cave after a practice game and became trapped. /VCG Photo

Monsoon flooding cut off their escape and prevented rescuers from finding them for almost 10 days. It took another eight days for Thai's Navy Seals and international divers to extract everyone out. /VCG Photo
