The New York Yankees have created history with their win against the Toronto Blue Jays in American Major League Baseball (MLB) on Tuesday.

Leadoff man DJ LeMahieu went deep leading off the bottom of the first inning to help the Yankees take the tally of their most consecutive games with a home run to a record 28.

With their latest home run, the Yankees broke a tie with the 2002 Texas Rangers for the longest home run streak. Meanwhile, LeMahieu grabbed the record out of the way early on the sixth pitch from Blue Jays starter Clayton Richard.

Aaron Judge then followed suit with another homer at Yankee Stadium as New York’s second batter of the game.

The Yankees haven’t missed registering a home run during a June game, as a total of 14 different Yankees players have gone deep during the streak. Judge, who recently returned from an oblique injury, became the 14th.

Statistically, the last time the Yankees went without a home run was on May 25 when the prolific New York-based side failed to register any in the second game of a doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals.
