In South Korea, Kang Mi-sook begins each weekday on the road, driving around with her motorized fridge. The 62-year-old delivers small bottles of Yakult, directly to the homes of elderly citizens who live alone. Kang is one of South Korea's approximately 11,000 "yogurt ladies". She has been working in the job for 20 years. The program she works for is a partnership between Korea Yakult and the district governments as a means of checking up on the increasing number of older people in Seoul.
