At least six people were killed and five others injured in an explosion in Weishi County of central China's Henan Province on Wednesday. 

A double-layer tank exploded at a biotechnology company's factory at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, setting off a blaze at the building. 

Five of the victims died on the spot and another died while en route to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
