Heavy rainstorms have battered several Chinese provinces recently. In south China's Wuzhou City, a river breached, flooding roads and forcing schools to suspend classes. In southwest China's Yunnan Province, almost 8,000 people were affected by floods and more than 650 hectares of crops were inundated. The Lanzhou section of the Yellow River has also swelled, flooding areas along its banks.
