Second reading of the draft law on marriage and family in NPC bimonthly session

The National People's Congress Standing Committee has wrapped up its bimonthly session in Beijing. During the session, lawmakers deliberated a section of the law on marriage and family that clarifies issues concerning a couple's joint debts. It’s the second reading of the draft. However, the suggestion of a 30-day cooling-off period is getting negative reactions online, says Dr. Liu Huawen.
