The race is part of the 2019 China Longzhou Tournament, also known as the Dragon Boat Tournament, which has the highest skill level and largest scale in China. This year’s tournament divided the participants into five groups according to their gender, age and dragon boat size. Each group competed in races at three distances – 100 meters, 200 meters and 500 meters – and for a total of 15 trophies. 

Jianyang is the 20th host city in the history of the Dragon Boat Tournament.
