U.S. President Donald Trump becomes the first in-service U.S. president to cross into the DPRK side of the DMZ.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un finished their formal meeting after crossing the demarcation line.

Trump and Republic of Korea (ROK) President Moon Jae-in are now addressing the press after meeting Kim. Trump said he is "glad" that Kim could respond to the last-minute invitation so quickly.

Trump also said during the press conference that the U.S. and the DPRK will hold working-level talks on nuclear issues "over the next two or three weeks."

Negotiators from the two sides will "start a process and we'll see what happens," Trump said after concluding the historic meeting with Kim.

U.S. President Donald Trump crossed briefly into the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) from the DMZ, and said afterward that he was "proud" to step into the country. 

At the same time, Trump expressed his willingness to invite DPRK leader Kim Jong Un to Washington by saying, "I'll invite him right now to the White House."

U.S. President Donald Trump met and shook hands with DPRK leader Kim Jong Un, making him the first sitting U.S. president who has entered the DMZ. 

President Trump crossed over the DMZ into the DPRK side alongside Kim Jong Un.

Both leaders then walked to the ROK side and answered questions from the press.

U.S. President Donald Trump has arrived at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by Republic of Korea (ROK) President Moon Jae-in ahead of a meeting with Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un.

Trump and Moon confirmed the short meeting earlier at Sunday's press conference following a bilateral talk. 

The meeting of the two leaders will take place during Trump's two-day visit to the ROK.
