A new air route will be launched between the city of Guiyang in southwest China's Guizhou Province and Bangkok, Thailand, on July 11.

The route will be operated by China Southern Airlines with round-trip flights scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The outbound flight leaves Guiyang at 3:50 p.m. Beijing time and arrives in Bangkok at 5:50 p.m. local time. The return flight departs Bangkok at 7:05 p.m. local time and arrives in Guiyang at 11:10 p.m. Beijing time.

Meanwhile, a direct air route will link Beijing with Nice in southeastern France starting from August 2, according to Air China Monday. The new route will contribute to the connectivity of the Belt and Road. It is Air China's second direct air service linking the Chinese capital city to a French city, after Paris, according to the airline.

Airbus A350 wide-body airplanes will serve on the Beijing-Nice direct route with round-trip services every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The year 2019 marks the 45th anniversary of Air China opening the Beijing-Paris route.
