U.S. President Donald Trump on June 30 met with Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in Panmunjom, where Trump made a historic handshake with Kim before setting foot on DPRK territory – becoming the first sitting U.S. president to do so.

It was the third meeting between the two leaders in just over a year and will raise hopes for a revival of stalled nuclear talks.

Trump and Kim have met twice in high-profile summits in Singapore and the the Vietnamese city of Hanoi as part of U.S. efforts to persuade Pyongyang to give up nuclear weapons. Trump has made reaching a deal with Kim a cornerstone of his foreign policy.

The infographic below highlights the key results from three historic Trump-Kim summits.
