Typhoon Mun made landfall in south China's Hainan Province on Wednesday, but had no significant impact on people's lives.

This is the first typhoon to hit China this year.

In Hele County, traffic flowed smoothly in the midst of gentle rain and slight wind during rush hour on Wednesday morning.

According to local authorities, the rain brought by the typhoon could sufficiently ease the recent drought and refill the reservoirs in Hainan Province.

Ferry services were halted from noon on Tuesday in the Qiongzhou Strait and 11 flights were canceled at Sanya Phoenix International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
