At least six people have been killed and 120 others injured as a tornado hit China's Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province at 5:15 p.m. local time on Wednesday.

With winds up to over 50mph, it turned into a depression 15 minutes later after it was formed.

Teams of police, firemen, and medics have rescued over 210 people.

Kaiyuan city issued a grade-II emergency response immediately after the incident occurred. The rescue mission is currently underway.
