Surveillance videos showed leopards roaming the Chaoshan Nature Reserve in Pingyao County in north China's Shanxi Province.

They were caught by surveillance cameras five times this year, in January, February and May.

The nature reserve is located in the southeast of Pingyao, about one hour's drive from the countytown.

Experts say now is the mating season of leopards, making them more aggressive. Tourists to the region regularly receive safety warnings.
