Live: Inside a migrant camp in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The International Organization for Migration and other organizations have sounded the alarm about the frightful conditions migrants and refugees in Bosnia and Herzegovina are facing. A growing number of arrivals and severe shortages of accommodation have led to irregular incomers sleeping rough or in adequate conditions.

According to official data, more than 9,000 migrants have entered the country since the beginning of the year, a stark increase from the 755 registered in 2017. And while many continue their journey to Central and Western Europe, others decide to stay.

The anti-immigration measures in countries in the region have contributed to the migrant crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina by rerouting the Balkan route, which now passes through the Southeastern European country.

CGTN's Aljosa Milenkovic is in the town of Velika Kladusa to check out the situation inside a migrant camp that recently made news headlines.
