Two dead, 30 vehicles burnt in oil pipeline explosion in Nigeria

Two people were killed and 30 vehicles burnt in an oil pipeline explosion on Thursday in a satellite town of Lagos, Nigeria, according to a spokesperson for Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.

The total loss would be determined at the end of the ongoing firefighting operation, said the spokesperson.

Footage on social media showed smoke and people escaping the site.

The cause of the blast remains unclear.
