Hong Kong officials have reported damage to the security and communications systems in the Legislative Council (LegCo) complex after demonstrators stormed the building on Monday. They said that the building will remain closed until October. 

Victor Gao, a current affairs commentator, said Hong Kong has a very deeply rooted tradition of rule of law, and violence and rioting are a complete violation of the rule-of-law tradition.
