The 15th China International Comics and Games Expo (CCG EXPO) is being held in Shanghai. CCG Expo is a comprehensive exhibition of comics and games co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
With an estimated market potential of over 20 billion yuan, the Chinese market has gained much attention from the cartoon and games industry domestically and internationally.
The first day of CCG 2019 on July 4 was set to be the "Marvel’s Day," celebrating the 80th anniversary of Marvel Comics. On the special day, Marvel revealed the progress of its newest Chinese Super Heroes, Aero and Sword Master, in both China and the U.S.. The English version of Aero also made its debut Thursday in the U.S, both in print and digital, with renowned comic artists from around the world invited to create various limited-edition covers.

Nine winners of "Marvel’s Talent Search for Artist in China," a competition co-initiated by Marvel and CCG Expo early this year to select outstanding young cartoonists, were also announced.
Two distinct, interactive themed booths by Marvel were featured at the CCG EXPO, one featuring escape rooms with themes like a comic editor’s room, and the other a gallery of Marvel artworks created by the winners from "Diversity of Marvel Comics: Gallery and Workshop,” another competition for selecting talents in the industry.
C.B. Cebulski, editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, presented the English version of Aero to Chinese Marvel fans at the CCG EXPO 2019, which ends July 8, and Aero’s creator, Keng, also appeared at Marvel’s booth to interact with fans.
"Sword Master," is planned for publication in the U.S. by the end of July.
