Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Poland, Slovakia and Hungary from July 7 to 13, at the invitation of the foreign ministers of the three Eastern European nations.
He will also co-host the second plenary session of China-Poland Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee with Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz and the second China-Hungary "Belt and Road" working group meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang briefed reporters on the trip on Saturday in Beijing.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Poland, which have carried out comprehensive cooperation in terms of bilateral relations, the "16+1 cooperation" and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
For Hungary, the country was the first European country to sign a memorandum of understanding with China for the promotion of BRI. Meanwhile, the country is moving to strengthen its cooperation with China in a variety of sectors including infrastructure, finance, agriculture and aviation.
Slovakia has also strengthened cooperation with China on railway and automobiles.
