Lotus flower, grown from 100-year-old seeds, blooms in Beijing

A lotus flower, grown from 100-year-old seeds, has bloomed in the Old Summer Palace in Beijing. Eleven lotus seeds were discovered during an archaeological excavation in 2017, six of which sprouted in the laboratory. They were then planted in the park.
