Eighty-two years ago today, on July 7, 1937, Japanese troops crossed the Lugou Bridge on the outskirts of Beijing in a major military campaign against China. The "Lugou Bridge Incident" led to the full-scale Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
