Floods caused by torrential rain continued to wreak havoc in southeast China's Fujian Province on Saturday as raging floodwaters roared down streets, washing away vehicles and swallowing sheds.

According to the local government, about 12,000 people were affected by the rain.

Rescue work is underway.
