China swept both the men's and women's table tennis team golds at the 2019 Napoli Universiade on Sunday.

In the women's team final, China beat Japan 3-1 to win the gold, as in which China's Wang Yidi presented twice and won two rounds.

"Japan did a really good job today. I told my players that no matter who the opponent is, we should be confident," said China coach Zang Yuying.

In the men's team final, China easily defeated Chinese Taipei 3-0 to crown the title.

In the women's 3m synchronized, China's Leng Minghong/Chen Yi lost to Mexican duo Hernandez Monzon Dolores/Mendoza H. Carolina, grabbing a sliver with 288.60 points, 2.4 short of those for the first.

Chinese shooter Cao Lijia ranked the fifth in the final of the women's 10m air pistol.

China finished sixth after losing 45-41 to Poland in the women's epee team quarterfinal.

"I didn't control the tempo well today. We fell behind from the very beginning, so I was in a rush trying to catch up the score," Chinese fencer Xu Nuo said after the game.

The U.S. women's basketball team upset China 87-79 to enter the final four. Zhang Yi scored the team high 22 points for China, followed by Song Kexin with 16 points.
