China has urged the United States to withdraw a potential arms sale to Taiwan, expressing strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition.

Geng Shuang, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, made the remarks at a press conference Tuesday, one day after the U.S. State Department approved the potential 2.2 billion U.S. dollars arms sale to Taiwan.
