Huawei is pressing ahead with plans to help build 5G networks around the world. Monaco has become the first European country to launch a 5G mobile phone network based on technology from the company. Huawei's vice president Guo Ping viewed Tuesday's rollout as a major opportunity to serve as a model for other operators and states. The company has signed 50 contracts worldwide for 5G, despite opposition from Washington.
