Bringing the region together and moving forward is the motivation behind the AIIB. It's been six years since Chinese President Xi Jinping first proposed the idea. The bank now has 97 members -- all stakeholders backing the project to a tune of 100 billion U.S. dollars and three of the world's top major global credit rating agencies have given the bank their highest grade.
